My Creative Journey

My love for bag making began with a leap of faith – a $5,000 fabric investment and a dive into the world of eBay and local craft fairs. I taught myself to sew, launching my first handmade business. In 2012, I opened a brick-and-mortar boutique showcasing my creations and supporting other talented makers.

While I closed the physical store in 2016, I shifted my focus to building a vibrant online community – Sewspire. My YouTube channel serves as a hub for creative inspiration and guidance.

Through my teaching journey, I developed the T-Method, a unique approach that empowers anyone to unleash their design creativity and craft custom bags.

Beyond Bags: Exploring the Creative Landscape

Beyond my own designs, I find inspiration in the work of fellow indie bag makers, particularly Ora Rosa Patterns and Noodlehead Sewing Patterns. My creative pursuits extend to garment sewing and quilting, keeping me connected to the beginner's mindset and fueling my passion for continuous learning.
